Usually, there is a markup fee for foreign exchange for transactions settled in Hong Kong dollars made outside Hong Kong. With Standard Chartered UnionPay Credit Card, you will not be charged handling fees for purchases in RMB and foreign currencies. For example, any transactions made in Hong Kong and overseas will be posted to your HKD account and be repaid in HKD.

Besides credit card annual fees, cardholders need to be aware of other common charges that associated with SCB credit cards such as a late charge, card replacement fee, returned item fee (e.g. rejected direct debit authorisation), over-limit charge, etc.
If the minimum payment is not received by the relevant due date, a late fee will be charged. The amount will either be 5% of the outstanding balance or the minimum payment due.
If a replacement card is required, HK$100 will be charged for each credit card account.
