General is characterized by an extensive coverage and its key features are as follows:

No deductibles

Some travel insurance products on the market require insurers to bear some costs before claiming. But Generali travel insurance products do not require any deductibles.

Leisure sports are covered

Insurers are covered for participating in leisure sports including skiing, scuba diving, bungee jumping, etc. while traveling - giving you peace of mind while having fun.

Cover follow-up medical expenses after returning to Hong Kong

Cover Chinese treatment, bone setting and acupuncture overseas medical expense and follow-up medical expense within 3 months after your return- which is not always covered in other travel insurance products so insurers can focus on recovery.

Mobile phone loss/damage is covered

Not all travel insurance is covered for mobile phone loss/ damage. But Generali travel insurance products covered such loss up to HK$2,500 per item.

Extends automatically for 10 days

The cover of Single Trip Travel Plan extends automatically for a maximum of 10 days if the trip is unavoidably delayed.

If I study abroad, am I eligible to purchase Generali Travel Insurance?

Not recommended - since it only covers up to 182 for single trip travel insurance and 120 days for annual cover, it doesn’t cover the entire academic year. Students are advised to buy insurance dedicated for studying abroad for more protection.
