Credit Card Rewards Limit

Different credit card providers will have specific terms and conditions. Therefore, it is important to understand the rewards limit, validity of points and whether supplementary cards can also get the same reward points as the primary credit card.

AlipayHK Daily Transfer Limit

The daily transfer limit of AlipayHK is HK$2,000. If your daily limit is exceeded, you might need to consider settling your bills using alternatives such as by online banking or in person.

Changes to Terms and Conditions

To be eligible for rewards, your transaction needs to be qualified. But credit card providers reserve the right to change these terms and conditions anytime without prior notice. Therefore, it is important to keep an eye on your monthly statement to see if you get the rewards you expect. You can also check the relevant terms and conditions upon application.

Water Supplies Department does not accept auto pay

Water Supplies Department does not accept auto pay as the payment option. To earn credit card rewards, you can do so by paying via online banking.

eBanking Payment

So far there are only a few banks offer rewards for online banking payment, including HSBC, Bank of China, Hang Seng Bank, etc.

Bill Payment via AlipayHK

Credit cardholders can pay electricity, gas, water bills and more via AlipayHK, and earn credit card rewards at the same time. Simply settle the payment by clicking on “Bill Payment” and choose your designated merchant correspondingly, you can then pay the bill with a connected Visa or Mastercard.

Can I enjoy credit card rewards if I settle my utility and phone bills with an Octopus card in person?

If the credit card you use counts topping up octopus cards as eligible transactions, then you can earn rewards every time you top up your credit cards.

Which credit card is the best for settling property management fees?

There are many property management companies that accept autopay. In this way, you can earn HK$6=1 mile/ 1% rebate with DBS Black World MasterCard or Citi Cash Back Card.

Is paying tuition fees eligible for credit card rebates?
