Cash Back from Dining Spending

Cardholders of the Blue Cash credit card qualify for a 1.2% cashback on everyday purchases, both locally and overseas. In addition to the cashback, Blue Cash credit cardholders can also get a free size upgrade on beverages at Pacific Coffee.

Year-round Dining Offers

American Express cardholders get access to year-round dining offers via the American Express SELECTS platform. Dining offers include discounts at popular Hong Kong hotel buffets, and savings on a la carte menus at restaurants such as Ruth Chris’ Steakhouse.

How to Apply for American Express Credit Cards

The easiest and most convenient way to apply for an American Express credit card is through their website. Applicants need to prepare a number of documents in order to successfully apply for a credit card. Documents include proof of address (e.g. utility bills, bank-issued letter), proof of income (e.g. latest tax demand note, bank statements), and proof of identification (e.g. HKID card, valid passport).

American Express credit cards should also check and make sure they meet the specific requirements set for each card. The American Express Cathay Pacific Elite Credit Card, for example, requires a minimum annual salary of HK$300,000.
